Five members of Grup Yorum, a leftist music band in Turkey, were released pending trial on Wednesday, the Birgün daily reported.
The defendants were put in pre-trial detention after police in February detained them at İdil Kültür Merkezi, a cultural center in İstanbul affiliated with the band.
They were accused of membership in a terrorist organization.
Thirty members of İdil Kültür Merkezi are still behind bars, the report said.
Some of them went on hunger strike in prison, demanding freedom for the group’s members and an end to bans on Grup Yorum concerts.
The prosecutor immediately appealed the ruling on the release of the five Grup Yorum members.
