Erdoğan to Hillary Clinton on Kurdish support remark: Shame on you

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Following a pledge made by Hillary Clinton to support Kurdish fighters in northern Syria, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan harshly criticized the US presidential hopeful for promising to arm the Kurds.

“They say they will continue to arm the Democratic Union Party [PYD] and People’s Protection Units [YPG]; they say this in the US election campaign. Shame on you! Shame on you!” Erdoğan said at a rally in the Central Anatolian province of Konya. He had earlier labeled Clinton’s remarks during the latest presidential debate “the result of political experience.”

Talking about a possible military operation in the Iraqi city of Mosul by coalition forces, Erdoğan expressed determination to participate in the undertaking. “If the coalition forces do not want Turkey, we have plans B and C,” he stated.

Erdoğan also criticized political analyst Michael Rubin from the American Enterprise Institute, who wrote last week that a third coup is likely in the days to come. However, Erdoğan believes Rubin called the corruption investigations of Dec 17-25, 2013 the first coup. “A snob who does not know his place writes certain things in his column,” Erdoğan said in an effort to belittle Rubin.

New measures are ahead against Gülen movement

Erdoğan also hinted that “new measures” against the Gülen movement are in the offing, in a relentless witch-hunt that intensified after an attempted coup on July 15. He argued that because only a few people among the Gülen movement truly repented, they will implement new measures. “More cleansing, more dismissals are required,” he openly stated as Turkey has been undertaking the largest purge in its history, without due process.

Erdoğan calls the Gülen movement “FETÖ,” an acronym that his government coined to label the peaceful movement as a terrorist organization in the absence of any evidence to that effect.

  1. Mr. Erdogan, in America, we have constitutional rights and freedom of speech. It is now clear that you fall short of a diplomatic and a political education. Your rabid pitbull style of politics charges after everyone and anyone you feel is threat to your arcane way of thinking.

Your political rhetoric does not meet the expectations of a modern 21st century. You and the AKP are always shouting how your party has brought Turkey out of dark ages and into modern democratic standards; however, I disagree. You will never know what it is like to live in a true “Democracy” your ideologies and skewed and backwards.

Save yourself a headache and “know your place”, in the world. By the way, you said Hillary Rodham Clinton was a novice in politics, well I disagree. For starters, “Rodham attended Wellesley College, where she was active in student politics and elected senior class president before graduating in 1969. She then attended Yale Law School, where she met Bill Clinton.

“Graduating with honors in 1973, she went on to enroll at Yale Child Study Center, where she took courses on children and medicine and completed one post-graduate year of study.”

Where is your doctoral degree and post doctoral certificate Mr. Erodogan and are you a Jurist Doctorate?

“In the spring of 1974, Rodham became a member of the presidential impeachment inquiry staff, advising the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives during the Watergate Scandal.”

Before standing behind your selfish podium, sir, learn how to address the international community. Whether you realize it or not, your an embarrassment to your country. You have squandered every opportunity to make things right at home and abroad. Sir, your sexist comments will always fall on deaf ears, when all you do is insult others, you cannot and will never control. “Know your place.”

With regard to the Kurds both sides cannot continue on this bloody skirmish. Recently, President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón of Columbia had finally taken steps to end a five decade old war of senseless killings with La FARC.

Your obsessive compulsive tirades against the Gulenist and other dissidents are setting the stage for international blow back. It is apparent you and the AKP no longer want to have an established relationship with NATO.

Instead of continually sabotaging efforts with respect to IS, my suggestion is: be brave and announce that Turkey no longer wants to function and participate as part of the NATO collective and depart; however, Mr. Erdogan, you and the AKP are silently waiting for NATO to decide for you.

Unfortunately your narrow path of blinded testosterone has gotten in the way of Turkey and her people. Sir, “know your place.”
